About Us
Health Expressions is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit which provides fun & affordable Zumba fitness classes. Founded in 2016, we have provided over 1000 hours of accessible wellness classes to the Sunnyvale community and helped them achieve their health goals by keeping an active lifestyle.
FAQs
What should I bring to class?
You will need light and breathable exercise clothing, shoes (training shoes are the most appropriate),
water, 1lb weights (not mandatory), towel (you will sweat a lot!).
How much does a class cost?
There is a $3 suggested donation but, if you cannot afford to pay for class, we will not turn you away!
Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash and Venmo.
Is there parking?
Yes, there is plenty of parking in front of and around Columbia Neighborhood Center.
If I can't dance should I still try a class?
This is a fitness class that also includes dancing. No dancing experience is needed. If we can do it, you can do it!
Do I need to be in shape to attend a Zumba® class?
Some level of fitness might help, but our class is open to beginners. It is advisable to check with your doctor if you have any health conditions.
You can always pace yourself and take it easy.
Is it ok to eat right before class?
Ideally, you shouldn't eat right before class. Try to eat up to an hour before class (light snack) or 2 or more hours (bigger meal).
Is there child care?
No, there isn't. Children may not wait in the facility either. Children of age 8 – 13 are allowed to participate with parent or guardian present and must dance the entire class.
